happy wednesday, loves! it has been quite a long time since i have taken a look at colourpop cosmetics and since then, they have released tons of products. today we are going to take a look at their pressed eyeshadows, specifically the baby got peach palette.
colourpop pressed shadows run:
single pressed shadows: $4.50 – $5
palettes: $12 – $40 ; baby got peach palette – $12
colourpop shadows are available at colourpop.com and limited collections at ulta.com
the baby got peach palette is absolutely brilliant and i love the color selection for spring and summer. the palette contains 9 shades for only $12 which is an absolute steal, even better than you can find in the drugstore. there are 5 matte shades, 3 metallics, and 1 pressed glitter.
in all honesty, this entire palette is worth it just for the shade ‘get even’. this is such a unique shade that i dont have anywhere in my collection. the reflects shift from yellow gold and green gold to create a shimmer that will look incredible on all skin tones. the metallic applies beautifully with a brush, a finger, and wet or dry.
the mattes are impressive for such an affordable brand. as i have mentioned before its easy to find good metallics in a variety of price ranges but matte shadows at drugstore prices are generally chalky and hard to blend. these all blend seamlessly and have good pigmentation. they aren’t my favorite mattes of all time but they certainly are my favorite at this price point!
the glitter is nice but very messy. this is to be expected with most glitters but because it is a little larger of a glitter than some of my others, the mess can be slightly more noticeable. i would suggest using a glitter glue and doing your eyes before face makeup if you plan on utilizing the glitter shadow in this palette.
all in all this palette is excellent and has made me want to try many more colourpop shadows! i think any colourpop palette you are interested is certainly worth it. i would say that colourpop shadows are much better than morphe shadows and with themes and packaging that everyone can enjoy.
would you all like to see more colourpop reviews? are there other palettes you think i should try? what are your favorite colourpop products or which ones most interest you?
