halloween tutorial: zombie

I knew I had to do a zombie look for halloween but I wanted to do a little twist. I decided to do a glam zombie with big lashes, carved brows, and bright lips.

products used:

nivea mens post shave balm

josie maran vibrancy foundation – dynamic

coty airspun loose powder – translucent

make up for ever flash palette

morphe eyeshadow palette – 35N

anastasia beverly hills dipbrow pomade – taupe

ardell lashes – 251

dup brush on lash glue

anastasia beverly hills liquid lipstick – electric coral

step 1: prime –  I applied nivea mens shave balm to smooth my skin and prolong my foundation wear.

step 2: foundation – I wanted to look really pale so I used my lightest foundation josie maran vibrancy foundation.

step 3: powder – I set my whole face with coty airspun powder so that the MUF flash creams would apply easier on top.

step 4: coloring – I mixed together small amounts of the yellow, green, brown, and white from the MUF flash palette on a mixing palette. I used a beauty sponge to apply that shade around my forehead, all over my eyes, and near  my mouth. I just got creative with it and put it wherever I felt would look best. The greenish color wasn’t quite as dark as I wanted. I wanted to look even more sickly and taken over by something so I used some purples and browns from the morphe 35n to deepen up the areas where I had applied the cream.

step 5: brows – I filled in my brows with abh taupe dipbrow.

step 6: mascara – mac gigiblack mascara is my go to for darkening my lashes before falsies because it still looks natural enough to blend with lashes.

step 7: false lashes – I used ardell 251 lashes for this look. I like the duo brush on lash glue because it is so easy to apply it evenly on the lash band without a mess. I let it dry for  about 30 seconds before actually putting them on my eyes so that they are tacky enough. I press them against my real lashes with tweezers so that you can’t see a distinction line.

step 8: lips – I wanted really bright glam lips so I used anastasia electric coral liquid lip for my lipstick.

here’s the completed look again
