Hello loves! For todays look, I was somewhat inspired by Jaclyn Hill’s look for the Anastasia Beverly Hills party last year. She went as a ring leader but with a dark twist. I decided to go the opposite route and go drag glam.
products used:
no.7 beautifully matte base
lance teint idol ultra 24 foundation – 100 ivoire
kat von d lock it concealer – L3
anastasia beverly hills cream contour – mink
anastasia beverly hills contour powder – banana, mink, ash brown
laura mercier loose setting powder – translucent
anastasia beverly hills waterproof creme color – jet
lorac mega pro palette 2
mac lip pencil – cherry
nyx extra creamy round lipstick – fire
mac gigiblack mascara
ardell lashes – 203
duo brush on lash glue
michaels glitter
step 1: prime – I primed my skin using no7 matte primer for a super matte base.
step 2: foundation – I evened my skin tone using lance foundation for a matte pale base.
step 3: concealer – I concealed my under eyes, eyelids, chin, cupids bow, bridge of nose, and forehead.
step 4: contour – I used anastasia cream contour in mink to create a dramatic drag like contour. I set the cream with abh mink and ash brown powders.
step 5: powder – I set my concealer with abh banana powder and baked under my eyes with laura translucent powder. To bake you pack powder under the eyes and contour and leave it as you do the rest of your makeup so that the warmth of you skin really locks the product into place. Then you wipe off all the excess powder.
step 6: liner – I lined my eyes with a drawn out dramatic wing using abh jet. I brought the liner under my eyes and curved it near the inner corners to create a drag like eye.
step 7: shadow – I blended ash in my crease and then smudged my liner with black shadow to really smoke it out.
step 8: brows – I filled in my brows using abh jet.
step 9: mascara – mac gigiblack mascara is my go to for darkening my lashes before falsies because it still looks natural enough to blend with lashes.
step 10: false lashes – I used ardell 203 lashes. I like the duo brush on lash glue because it is so easy to apply it evenly on the lash band without a mess. I let it dry for about 30 seconds before actually putting them on my eyes so that they are tacky enough. I press them against my real lashes with tweezers so that you can’t see a distinction line.
step 11: lips – I overlined my lips using mac cherry liner. I filled in the rest of my lips with nyx fire and then pressed a red glitter from michaels on top.
here’s the completed look again:
I am providing pictures of some of the products so that you can find similar products and colors in your own collections!
