Last halloween, I saw tons of people dress up as Sandy from Grease. This is a super easy costume to throw together and is a great couples costume as well!
products used:
nivea mens post shave balm
tarte rainforest of the sea foundation – fair light neutral
cle de peau concealer – ivory
anastasia beverly hills contour powder – banana
too faced chocolate soleil bronzer
clinique cheek pop blush – peach pop
smashbox photofinish eye primer
anastasia beverly hills shadow – stone
lorac mega pro palette
colourpop dope taupe brow color
ardell lashes -150
duo brush on lash glue
mac lip liner – cherry
maybelline vivid matte liquid – orange shot, rebel red
step 1: prime – I applied nivea mens shave balm to smooth my skin and prolong my foundation wear.
step 2: foundation – I used tarte rain forest of the sea foundation for a light dewy look.
step 3: concealer – I applied cle de peau concealer under my eyes to cover my dark circles.
step 4: powder – I set my concealer using abh banana powder.
step 5: bronzer – Sandy had a very bronzy cheek look rather than contour so I used a big blush brush to blend too faced chocolate bronzer all over my cheek area and the outer edges of my forehead.
step 6: blush – Sandy had a nice peachy cheek so I applied clinique peach pop directly on the apples of my cheeks to imitate her look.
step 7: prime – I smoothed smashbox eye primer on my lids to ensure my shadows stayed on.
step 8: eyeshadow – Sandy had a really messy grey smoky eye. I started by taking fluffy brush and blending abh stone all over my crease to begin the cool toned transition. I then used lorac ash to blend around the outer v of the eye and all through the crease until it was relatively dark. I then took a small bullet brush and blended a little of black into the very outer edge and smudged that along the upper and lower lash line and blended the black using a pencil brush and more ash.
step 9: mascara – mac gigiblack mascara is my go to for darkening my lashes before falsies because it still looks natural enough to blend with lashes.
step 10: false lashes – Sandy had pretty natural lashes so I used ardell 150 lashes. I like the duo brush on lash glue because it is so easy to apply it evenly on the lash band without a mess. I let it dry for about 30 seconds before actually putting them on my eyes so that they are tacky enough. I press them against my real lashes with tweezers so that you can’t see a distinction line.
step 11: lips – I lined my lips with mac cherry lip liner. Sandy had a really glossy red lip so I used maybelline vivid matte liquid in rebel red to fill in the whole lip and popped a little of orange shot in the center of the lips for some dimension.
step 12: hair – I sectioned off my hair and curled small sections using a 1/4 inch curling iron. I hairsprayed the finished curls and once I was done curling all my hair, I used a small teasing comb to create a bunch of messy volume.
here’s the completed looks:
I am providing pictures of some of the products so that you can find similar products and colors in your own collections!
