halloween tutorial: gold finger

If you know me, you probably know that my favorite color is gold so when I decided to do this feature, I knew I had to do a crazy gold look. Every time I think of my obsession with gold, the song goldfinger from james bond always comes into my head. Although this look doesn’t look exactly like the woman in goldfinger, it was certainly inspired by her.

products used:

nivea mens shave balm

milani conceal and perfect foundation – 02 natural

cover fx custom cover drops – moonlight

maybelline age rewind concealer – neutralizer

pat mcgrath highlighting stick – golden

pat mcgrath highlighting powder – golden

anastasia beverly hills glow kit – that glow

ofra liquid lipstick – fifth ave

jeffree star beauty killer palette

mac gigiblack mascara – black

lena lashes – bianca

duo clear lash glue

duo brush on lash glue

hobby lobby glitter & sequence

step 1: prime –  I applied nivea mens shave balm to smooth my skin and prolong my foundation wear

step 2: foundation – I mixed my milani foundation with the cover fx moonlight drops to create really glowy full coverage skin.

step 3: concealer – I used maybelline age rewind concealer to cover my dark circles and highlight my chin, cupids bow, bridge of nose, and center of forehead.

step 4: highlight – I applied pat mcgraths golden highlighting stick on the high points of my cheek and then put the powder golden highlight on top of it. Instead of using bronzer, I used ABH golden bronze on my cheeks. I then also fanned sunburst and dripping in gold on my cheekbones, bridge of my nose, cupids bow, and chin for an extra poppin’ highlight.

step 5: glitter explosion – I used a flat paint brush to paint duo clear lash glue onto my right eye area. I used my finger to pack a fine gold glitter on top of the glue before it dried.

step 6: sequence brow – I took each sequence and applied a little duo brush on lash glue on the back and pressed it on my brow until it was completely covered.

step 7: mascara – mac gigiblack mascara is my go to for darkening my lashes before falsies because it still looks natural enough to blend with lashes.

step 8: false lashes – I used lena lashes in bianca for this look. I like the duo brush on lash glue because it is so easy to apply it evenly on the lash band without a mess. I let it dry for  about 30 seconds before actually putting them on my eyes so that they are tacky enough. I press them against my real lashes with tweezers so that you can’t see a distinction line.

step 9: metallic lips – I applied ofra’s fifth ave liquid lipstick as the base for my golden lip. It wasn’t quite as pigmented as I wanted so I used my finger to pat on JS rich bitch on top.

step 10: glitter hairline – For an extra pop of gold I sprinkled a larger glitter all over my hairline.

halloween tutorial: glitter mask

This look just kind of came into my head. I have to do an art project and I thought of making a face of glitter on a canvas. Then when I began my halloween series, I thought why couldn’t I create that look on myself!

products used:

nivea mens shave balm

loreal pro glow foundation – 202

cle de peau concealer – ivory

urban decay naked skin concealer – fair

anastasia beverly hills contour powder – banana

mac pro sculpting powder – emphasize

anastasia beverly hills dipbrow pomade – taupe

bobbi brown eyeshadow – taupe

smashbox photo finish eye primer

makeup geek shadow – mirage

melt cosmetics eyeshadow – blurr, unseen, enigma, dark matter

mac gigiblack mascara – black

lena lashes – bianca

duo brush on lash glue

elmers glue

gold & red glitter

step 1: prime –  I applied nivea mens shave balm to smooth my skin and prolong my foundation wear

step 2: foundation – I applied cle de peau concealer underneath my foundation to conceal my blemishes and discoloration before I put a natural layer of loreal pro glow foundation

step 3: conceal – I used naked skin concealer to cover my dark circles, prime my eyelids and highlight the center of my face.

step 4: powder – I set my concealer with ABH banana powder and mac pro emphasize powder.

step 5: shadow – I applied smash box eye primer then packed mirage all over the lids as a light base. I then blended blurr messily in the whole crease area. I used a pointed blending brush to blend unseen in the lower crease and an even smaller bullet crease brush to smudge enigma in the outer corner and lower crease area. I lightly packed a little bit of dark matter into the very outermost corner of my lid. Once I went over the whole eye with  a brush again, I used dark matter and enigma to smoke out the lower lash line.

step 6: liner – I like to draw my wing with the nyc liner because its formula and  brush don’t tug and can give you a really sharp line. I then use ABH jet t0 finish my liner because it is so pigmented and matte. I also apply it inside my waterline then set it with dark matter shadow.

step 7: brows – I fill in my brows with ABH dip brow in taupe and set it with ABH clear brow gel.

step 8: mascara – mac gigiblack mascara is my go to for darkening my lashes before falsies because it still looks natural enough to blend with lashes

step 9: false lashes – I used lena lashes in bianca for this look. I like the duo brush on lash glue because it is so easy to apply it evenly on the lash band without a mess. I let it dry for  about 30 seconds before actually putting them on my eyes so that they are tacky enough. I press them against my real lashes with tweezers so that you can’t see a distinction line.

step 10: glitter – To create my glitter mask, I drew a line along my cheeks then applied elmers glue on the lower part of my face with a beauty sponge and while it was still wet, I used my fingers to press on the glitter. I suggest going section by section because you want to make sure the glue doesn’t dry before you get the glitter on top. I did this until my entire bottom section of my face was covered with gold and my lips were covered with red.
