review: marc jacobs air blush

Happy Monday, loves! I’m sorry I missed last weeks post. I hope you can all forgive me!! A few weeks ago I received a product from Influenster that I have been dying to share with all of you. Recently Marc Jacobs Beauty came out with their new air blush dual toned blush. I haven’t really tried much of the Marc Jacobs line besides what I’ve gotten in Sephora point perks and such so I was ecstatic to see if the products live up to the price tags.

prices range:

$42.00 on marcjacobsbeauty.com

$42.00 on sephora.com

The soft glow duo currently comes in 5 shades. I received the shade Kink and Kisses which is described as a pale petal and a peachy rose. The blush is packaged as a gradient so you can use the light shade, the darker shade, or mix them together for a medium toned rose.

the far right swatch is the light shade, then the dark shade, then the two swirled together

The lighter of the two shades has a light micro shimmer that helps to create glory cheeks that make you look rosy and healthy. Marc beauty recommends a few ways of applying the blush but I still just swirl the colors together so I get a flushed cheek.

Since Marc Beauty brought these blushes out, the line has been promoting the application method of ‘draping’. They claim that draping will give you a sculpted, lifted, glowing look. Draping is basically a really fancy way to say wearing blush without contouring or highlighting.

I gave draping a shot and the blush did look beautiful but as most of you know I am a drama queen and I need that contour and highlight just to breathe. I personally like more structure and glow than a single blush can provide. If you are more low maintenance you may really enjoy the technique.

I am absolutely adoring this blush. It has been my go to since I got it. It is so silky and smooth not only when you swatch it but also when you blend it onto the cheeks. The micro shimmer is fine enough that it looks like a glow and not a patch of glitter. It has great color payoff without being so pigmented that you need to be careful when you apply it. You can have a subtle flush with one swipe or build it up to a more dramatic look.

I absolutely recommend these blushes and think that they are worth the price. If you are looking to indulge or have been eyeing Marc products for a while I would suggest giving these a shot.

As always please recommend any other products you would like to see me test out! Don’t forget to subscribe to my blog on the right hand side of the page, so you receive updates when I post. Thanks for all the love & support. Talk to you Monday, loves.

love & lipstick kisses💋
disclaimer: I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes
