Our next product on our liquid lipstick train stops at the l’oreal infallible pro-matte gloss. Although this product doesn’t directly name itself a liquid lip, the product description claims it is as matte as a liquid lip without drying your lips out, hence the “gloss” aspect. There are 10 varying shades in the range.

I bought all ten shades (& accidentally 2 of nude allude, so please excuse the extra swatch). I decided to test out forbidden kiss for a sunday at work. I put it on at 11am before I walked into work. It applied kinda patchy on the first swipe so had to do another layer which made it much darker than I expected. It was very wet and didnt look the slightest bit matte. Thinking back to the revlon lipsticks, I figured it may take a little while to become matte.
Throughout the day, I would peek at a mirror and the lip was still not matte. After everything had settled down, I look a good look at the lip and it was sticky and looked as if I was wearing a very pigmented gloss. I asked my coworker what she thought of it and said it wasnt her favorite lip. When I told her it was meant to be matte, she couldnt believe it because it had been at least 6 hours and still looked like a gloss.
If you are looking for a very pigmented gloss then this would be a perfect cheap alternative. In some ways, it reminds me of the anastasia beverly hills glosses because it is so pigmented and very shiny. But all in all I was disappointed because it was marketed as matte and in actuality was nothing like how it is advertised. Im not much of a gloss girl so this one isnt for me but if you want a pop of glossy color, there are some great shades for spring and summer!

They look so pretty! It is always disappointing when a lippie says to have a matte finish but it doesn’t at all. Did you try applying loose powder on top? Sometimes it helps getting the lipstick more matte, I think that UD or a similar brand came up with a product to mattify lipsticks/lipglosses!
