For this look, I was inspired by my favorite quote “She’s not a girl, she’s a storm with skin.” This may be my favorite look. Im super proud of how this one turned out!
products used:
nivea mens shave balm
lorac performance foundation – SMS 1
make up for ever flash palette
anastasia beverly hills shadow – star cobalt
morphe eyeshadow palette – 35N
mac eyeshadow – nylon
ofra liquid lipstick – times square
chantecaille eyeliner – violet damask
mac gigiblack mascara – black
ardell lashes – 251
duo brush on lash glue
step 1: prime – I applied nivea mens shave balm to smooth my skin and prolong my foundation wear
step 2: foundation – I used the lorac foundation to create an even base
step 3: stormy sky – I used a foundation spatula to remove portions of the blue, black, and white. I mixed the blue and black to create a really deep blue color for left side of my face. I added a little black on top of that with a disposable sponge in the top corner to create a dark purple looking cloud. As I moved across my face I used progressively more white until the right side of my face looked like grey clouds. In the purple cloud area I used the deep purples in the morphe 35N to set the cream and add extra dimension. I set the majority of the blue area with ABH star cobalt for a deep iridescent blue look. I used the grey shade and mac nylon to set the lightest area on the right of my face. I added violet damask liner in my water liner so that the whites of my eyes didn’t clash with the deep blue.
step 4: lightning – I used the white color in the MUF flash palette and a very thin paint brush to draw random jagged lines. I also added various pops of the gold and silver throughout the lightning lines. I found that this whole look was way easier with a detailing paint brush set to get really precise lines.
step 5: mascara – mac gigiblack mascara is my go to for darkening my lashes before falsies because it still looks natural enough to blend with lashes.
step 6: false lashes – I used ardell 251 lashes for this look. I like the duo brush on lash glue because it is so easy to apply it evenly on the lash band without a mess. I let it dry for about 30 seconds before actually putting them on my eyes so that they are tacky enough. I press them against my real lashes with tweezers so that you can’t see a distinction line.
step 7: lipstick – I decided to do a silver lip so that it would pair nicely with the tones of the lightning. I used the ofra liquid lipstick because its the only silver I own.
here’s the completed look again:
